Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (as defined below) set out the terms on which you (whether you are a Visitor, a Volunteer, a Beneficiary, an Intermediary, an Organizer and/or Assessor, as defined below) may use the Website (as defined below).
Who we are and how to contact us
The present terms apply and relate to the access to, and/or use of the Website and, as the case may be, any and all web links and/or sites within the Website , as well as any websites to which the Website redirects, and also to any relevant Applications, i.e. "App" (henceforth, all of the above shall be collectively referred to as the "Website").
You should read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Website. By using the Website (whether registering an Account or not), you are confirming that you accept these Terms and Conditions and that you will comply with them.
If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you should leave the Website immediately. Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council reserves the right to accept or reject any account at our sole and absolute discretion.
The following policies also apply to your use of the Website:
- Our Privacy Policy. By using the Website you are consenting to us processing any personal data that you provide to us or that we collect from you as a result of your use of the Website. Our Privacy Policy sets out what we do with that personal data.

If you are an Organisation, a Beneficiary, an Intermediary or an Assessor who wants to access and use the Website Services, you will also be subject to the Terms of Service (Annex A) and Data Processing Addendum (Annex B).
The Website is a property of the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council, a legal entity in accordance with "The Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council Law 61(Ι)/2006 and 2025" and with registered office in Nicosia.

1. DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
1.1 In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions have the following meanings:
“Account” means either a Basic Account or a Guest Account created;
“Assessor” means the designated District Volunteerism Coordinative Councils responsible for veryfing and validating the Services requests submitted by the Beneficiary or by the Intermediary, or by organizations, facilitating Introductions between Beneficiaries or their Intermediaries and approve and validate Accounts.
“Basic Account” means a Volunteer’s, a Beneficiary’s, or a Group of Volunteers Account, which is not a Guest Account;
“Beneficiary” means a person who receives Volunteer Services from an Organization, or Volunteer.
“Content” means text, images, or other information that can be posted, uploaded, linked to or otherwise made available by you, regardless of the form of that content.
“Criteria” means the criteria which must be met by the Volunteer in order to express interest for a volunteer opportunity on the Website. The specific criteria is set out by the Organizer, or the Beneficiary. More information is found at each post.
“DVCC” means District Volunteerism Coordinative Council, which are responsible for different functions/operations in the Website as described in the document and may act as an Assessor or Organizer.
“Guest Account” means an account that allows Visitor to check to access Volunteer Services without creating an account and express interest for volunteer opportunities;
“Intermediary” means a person who, having authorization, assists the Beneficiary in submitting service requests and communicates with the Assessor and Volunteers on behalf of the Beneficiary to facilitate access to Services.
“Introduction(s)” means the process whereby an Organizer is introduced to a Volunteer via the Website;
“Organisation” means a legal entity, an organisation, its employees and representatives;
“Organisation Profile” means a profile set up by an Organisation;
“Organizer” means the Beneficiary, Intermediary or the organization, who seeks volunteer work/help or goods or donation;
“Profile” means a profile created and processed by DVCC, when entering your information for a need or a volunteer work, which requires users to enter certain information in order to and to help facilitate Introductions;
“Service(s)” means any service including Volunteer Services provided via the Website;
“Terms and Conditions” means the terms on which Visitors, Volunteers or Organizers, DVCCs, Beneficiary, Assessor, Intermediary, as defined below may use the Website as set out in this document or should these terms be set out on a web page as they are set out on this web page;
“us” / “we” / “PVCC” means Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council;
“Visitor” means a user of the Website who has not created an Account or a Profile on the Website;
“Volunteer” means an individual or a group of people (group volunteers), using the Services, including, without limitation browsing and/or applying for volunteering opportunities on the Website, or providing goods or donations;
“Volunteer Engagement” means the engagement entered into between a Volunteer and an Organizer following a successful Introduction;
“Website” / “Platform” means www.ethelontis.net;
“you” means a user of the Website, including a Volunteer or an Organizer, whether you have an Account or a Profile or whether you are using the Website as a Visitor.
Acknowledgment
These are the Terms and Conditions governing the use of this Service and the agreement that operates between you and the PVCC. These Terms and Conditions set out the rights and obligations of all users regarding the use of the Service.
2. USE OF THE WEBSITE
2.1 Our Website is provided to you free of charge.
2.2 By using our Website and the related services you agree that you are 18 years old or older.
2.3 You have the option to delete your Basic Account and discontinue using the Website at any time by contacting us via email at info@volunteerism-cc.org.cy and ceasing your usage of the Website.
2.4 The Website is an innovative Website that "brings together and connects people, volunteers, organizations, businesses and resources" for a common cause, support NGOs/those in need and work towards improving society. Enables the posting of needs/ volunteering opportunities (Organizations/individuals can post their needs (for volunteer work, goods, etc) on the Portal). Offers information about volunteering opportunities (The Portal helps people and organizations/businesses identify a cause that interests them or volunteer opportunity (in service/in kind). Connects Volunteers with Beneficiaries to express their interest to support a cause (volunteering opportunity) posted on the Portal. Then the Beneficiary that posted the opportunity will be notified). Enables donors to make donations (Through the Portal, interest in donations can be expressed to serve the needs of vulnerable groups and voluntary organizations/NGOs). Enables individuals and groups to access the Website as volunteers/or volunteer groups (When individuals/group register, they receive information on new volunteering opportunities that match their interests/skills/qualifications.)
2.5 Beneficiaries or Intermediaries can submit their needs (e.g., services or goods) through the Platform. These submissions are then reviewed and processed by the DVCCs. Once approved by the DVCC, they are posted on the Portal as volunteering opportunity. Only when these needs are published as opportunities Volunteers can express their interest to help. When Volunteers express interest, DVCC shall, subject to DVCC’s prior assessment of the post and Volunteer’s consent the Organizers receive notifications at the email address they provided during registration, by the facilitation of the DVCC.
2.6 You can access the Website as a Visitor, allowing you to browse and express interest as per clause 2.5, or you can create an Account and Profile as Volunteer, granting you access to enhanced functionality on the Website. If you are acting as Organizer an account will be created and verified by the DVCC every time you are registering a new need/ volunteer opportunity. You acknowledge that all procedures and processes shall be subject to the prior assessment conducted by DVCC.
2.7 Please refer to clause 3 below for information on the different Account types available and the corresponding functionality.
2.8 Please refer to clause 4 below for details regarding the different Profile options available and the associated functionality.
2.9 We do not guarantee continuous availability or uninterrupted access to our website or its content. Your access to our website is temporary.
2.10 We reserve the right to suspend, withdraw, or limit access to all or part of the Website and platform, including adding or removing content or functionality, for business or operational reasons at any time, without prior notice.
2.11 You are responsible for ensuring that anyone you are accessing the Website on behalf of, i.e, in the case of Intermediary, is aware of these Terms and Conditions and other relevant terms and complies with them.
2.12 The Website is intended for individuals residing in the Republic of Cyprus. We do not claim that the service or content available on our Website is suitable for use or accessible in other locations.
2.13 PVCC owns the Website making it available as illustrated in the Terms and Conditions. You acknowledge that DVCC are responsible to access, review, process all information and data on the Website, processing/review of volunteer data, processing/review of welfare recipients/organizations data, processing/review of needs, processing of communication, evaluation/identification of welfare recipients/organizations in relation to posting needs/volunteering opportunities and/or meeting needs, evaluation & posting of needs/volunteer opportunities and all other functions of the portal.
2.14 Nonetheless you hereby acknowledge and agree that DVCC serve solely as a facilitator of Introductions, and any volunteering arrangements are to be agreed upon between the Volunteer and the Organizer. In the event of any issues during the Volunteer Engagement, both Volunteers and Organizers have legal recourse directly against each other, not against PVCC or the DVCCs.
2.15 Volunteers can apply for volunteering opportunities without creating an Account by using a Guest Account. However, certain opportunities may require additional information or documentation as illustrated in the post.
2.16 PVCC is not responsible for unauthorized or improper use of your Account due to negligence or failure to safeguard your credentials.
2.17 You are required to adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy; and all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to those concerning data privacy, consumer rights, and health and safety.
2.18 You acknowledge that the DVCC operates independently and processes data in its respective role, either as an Assessor or as an Organizer. When acting as an Assessor, the DVCC shall act as a separate Data Controller from the Organizer. When acting as an Organizer, the DVCC shall act as the sole Data Controller for the relevant processing activities.
2.19 DVCC, as the Assessor, reserves the right to deny, terminate, or suspend registration for an Account or Profile on the Website to any individual at any time, without any notice or liability. DVCC may deactivate any username or password, whether chosen by you or assigned by us, if there is reason to believe you have failed to comply with any provisions of these Terms and Conditions, including the Volunteering Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy.
2.20 DVCC may revoke your access to your Account or Profile at any time if, you have failed to comply with any provisions of these Terms and Conditions, including the Volunteering Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy.
3. CREATE AN ACCOUNT
3.1 Volunteers (including Groups of Volunteers) can establish a Basic Account to access the Website’s features: access their information, the categories (of volunteer opportunities) that are of interest to them, change their password etc. Organizers cannot create an Account themselves; their Profiles are created, to DVCC prior assessment and further by DVCC upon approval, when registering a need.
3.2 By creating an Account, you confirm that:
3.2.1 You are over 18 years of age.
3.2.2 All information and details provided by you are true, accurate, and up to date. You can update or correct your personal details at any time in your Account settings
3.3 Οnly one Account per Volunteer is allowed.
3.4 Basic Account Registration
When creating a Basic Account:
- Users must create a username and password.
- Users agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Users are solely responsible for securing their credentials.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, you must promptly notify PVCC or the DVCC. PVCC/DVCC are not liable for any misuse resulting from negligence.
Features available upon accessing the Services on the Website and roles:
Α. Volunteers
I. Features:
a. Access all available volunteering opportunities.
b. Receive notifications for opportunities aligned with selected interest categories.
c. Manage account preferences and notification settings.
II. Obligations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact details.
- Apply honestly and in good faith for opportunities.
- Provide additional information or documents if required by the Organizer (see Clause 3.8).
B. Beneficiary/Intermediary
I. Features:
a. Register needs that will be posted (subject to DVCC prior approval)
II. Profile Rules:
a. Only one Profile is allowed per Beneficiary.
III. Obligations:
a. Clearly define requirements for each posted need.
b. Notify DVCC if operations cease or if a post requires removal.
c. Ensure that posted needs are appropriate and aligned with the Website’s purpose.
d. Engage with volunteers in a respectful manner.
C. Groups of Volunteers
I. Features:
a. Access all available volunteering opportunities and receive notifications for opportunities aligned with selected interest categories.
b. Register as a Group with a designated leader.
c. Upload relevant group experience and background.
d. Apply for opportunities as a group.
f. Access all volunteering opportunities available on the Portal.
g. Receive notifications aligned with interest categories.
h. Manage group account settings and notifications.
II. Obligations:
Designated Group Leader Responsibilities:
- Comply with Volunteer obligations
- Represent the interests of the group.
- Ensure compliance with the Terms and Conditions by all group members.
- Obtain legal guardian consent for any underage participants.
Only one Account is permitted per Group.
4. PROFILES
A. DVCC (acting as Assessors)
Upon profile creation, DVCC users gain access to the following features and are obligated to perform respective responsibilities only in relation its District:
I. Features:
a. Create, verify, save, submit, and manage Volunteer or Organizer Profiles.
b. Access and manage account and profile settings, including email alert preferences (for volunteer opportunities).
c. Assess and input volunteering requests submitted by Organizers, making them available for volunteer applications.
d. Manage introductions and facilitate direct connections between Volunteers, Organizers
e. Create, post, and promote volunteering opportunities.
II. Obligations:
- Verify Submitted Needs: Ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of service requests posted on behalf of beneficiaries/organizers.
- Validate Beneficiaries/organizers: Confirm the identity and eligibility of each beneficiary/organizer associated with a request.
- Assess Volunteers: Only when deemed necessary verify the identity, eligibility, and suitability of volunteers expressing interest, in the case that DVCCs act as organizers.
- Approve and Publish Requests: access, approve, upload validated requests to the Website for volunteer visibility.
- Facilitate Introductions: Manage the introduction process between verified volunteers and the intermediary or beneficiary to ensure safe and effective collaboration.

B. Guest Account Usage
Volunteers may apply for opportunities without creating an Account by using a Guest Account.
- Guest Account Limitations and Requirements:
- DVCC when acting as organizer and/or the Organizer may request Guest applicants to:
a. Confirm their eligibility.
b. Provide relevant background or experience.
c. Submit accurate and current contact information.
- Continuity of Records:
Volunteers who applied via a Guest Account can later create a Basic Account using the same email.
C. Organizations acting as organizers
I. Features:
a. Register needs that will be posted (subject to DVCC approval) and promote volunteer opportunities subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Website and the volunteer opportunity. In the event there is a match, organizers will be informed according by DVCC or the volunteer shall communicate directly with the Orginizer.
b. Manage volunteer recruitment processes.
II. Profile Rules:
a. Only one Profile is allowed per Organizer.
b. Organizers must be authorized representatives of their organization.
c. The organization is accountable for all actions taken under its Profile.
III. Obligations:
a. Clearly define requirements for each posted need.
b. Notify DVCC if operations cease or if a post requires removal.
c. Ensure that posted needs are appropriate and aligned with the Portal’s purpose.
d. Confirm they have the right and necessary consents when posting on behalf of third parties.
e. Engage with interested volunteers in a timely and respectful manner.
f. Use contact details provided by volunteers only in accordance with their consent.
g. Further to DVCC prior assessment and creation of Introduction, the organizer is responsible to check the eligibility of volunteer candidates (eligibility, suitability, conduct of an interview, access that conditions are met, etc.).
5. DATA SHARING AND CONSENT
- By submitting an application, your data is shared with the Organization upon ticking the consent box.
- The Organization is responsible for further communication and suitability assessment.
- If you do not wish to share your data via the Portal, you may contact the organization directly through alternative means (e.g., phone or email).
6. WEBSITE MATERIAL
6.1. PVCC owns or holds licenses for all intellectual property rights in the Website and its published material, protected by copyright laws and international treaties. All rights are reserved.
6.2. You are not permitted to use any part of the Website's content for commercial purposes without obtaining a license from us or our licensors.
6.3. If you print, copy, or download any part of the Website's content in violation of these Terms and Conditions, your right to use the Website will immediately cease, and you must, at our discretion, either return or destroy any copies of the materials you have obtained.
6.4. The content on the Website is provided solely for general informational purposes. It is not intended to constitute advice on which you should rely. Before taking any action or refraining from it based on the content of the Website, you must seek professional or specialist advice.
6.5. Although we make reasonable efforts to keep the information on the Website updated, we do not provide any express or implied representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the content.
7. DONATIONS
7.1 High-Risk Transactions
If, in our judgment, your donation is considered a high-risk transaction, we may require you to provide a copy of your valid government-issued photo identification, as well as a recent bank statement for the credit or debit card used for the donation. We also reserve the right to modify the services provided at any time.
7.2 Donation Non-Refundable
Once a donation has been made, PVCC does not have any obligation to return any amount, nor will it assume any liability related to the donation.
8. CONTENT
8.1 Your right to post Content
8.1.1 Our Service allows you to post Content, further to DVCC approval and through DVCC’s procedure, such as information about Services. You are responsible for the Content that you post to the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.
8.1.2 You retain any and all of your rights to any Content you submit, post or display on or through the Service and you are responsible for protecting those rights. You agree that this license includes the right for us to make your Content available to other users of the Service, who may also use your Content subject to these Terms.
8.1.3 You represent and warrant that: (a) the Content is yours (you own it) or you have the right to use it and (b) the posting of your Content on or through the Service or on and through Website does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contractual rights or any other rights of any person.
8.1.4 You understand that the Content uploaded will not be constantly monitored, however uploaded Content is found to fail to comply with these terms or is unsuitable may be rejected or removed without prior notice.
8.1.5 You acknowledge that, any reliance on your part on Content posted by other users is done so at your own risk. You warrant that you will not hold us liable for any resulting loss or damage. You understand that by using the Service you may be exposed to content that you may find offensive, indecent, incorrect or objectionable, and you agree that under no circumstances will the PVCC and DVCCs be liable in any way for any content, including any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of your use of any content.
8.1.6 You retain all Intellectual Property Rights in and to your own Content. By uploading your Content on to the Website you hereby give Website a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual license to process, extract reports, modify, compile, combine with other content, copy, record, synchronize, transmit, translate, format, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, and otherwise use or exploit your content as reasonably necessary to provide the website Services.
8.2 Restrictions
8.2.1 The PVCC and DVCCs are not responsible for the content uploaded by users. You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for the Content and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether done so by you or any third person using your account.
8.2.2 You may not transmit any Content that is unlawful, offensive, upsetting, intended to disgust, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable. Examples of such objectionable Content include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Unlawful or promoting unlawful activity.
- references commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, national/ethnic origin, or other targeted groups.
- Spam, machine – or randomly – generated, constituting unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, chain letters, any other form of unauthorized solicitation, or any form of lottery or gambling.
- Containing or installing any viruses, worms, malware, trojan horses, or other content that is designed or intended to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software, hardware or telecommunications equipment or to damage or obtain unauthorized access to any data or other information of a third person.
- Infringing on any proprietary rights of any party, including patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity or other rights.
- Impersonating any person or entity including the PVCC or DVCC and its employees or representatives.
- Violating the privacy of any third person.
- False information and features
- Unlawful process of personal data in a way such as not following the provisions of:
- the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”);
- the Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive) and/or the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003;
- any other law relating to the processing, privacy and/or use of Personal Data;
- any laws which implement any such laws; any laws that replace, extend, re-enact, consolidate or amend any of the foregoing; and
- any judicial or administrative interpretation of any of the above, any guidance, guidelines, codes of practice, approved codes of conduct or approved certification mechanisms issued by any relevant Supervisory Authority;
8.2.3 The PVCC and DVCCs reserve the right, but not the obligation, to, in its sole discretion, determine whether or not any Content is appropriate and complies with the present Terms, refuse or remove this Content. The PVCC and DVCCs further reserve the right to make formatting and edits and change the manner of any Content. The PVCC and DVCCs can also limit or revoke the use of the Service if you post such objectionable Content.
8.2.4. Without prior notice or delay, appropriate action may be taken to promptly remove (or request removal of) any content from the Website; temporarily or permanently restrict your ability to upload additional content; limit your ability to request services through the Website; disable your access temporarily or permanently; or take any other necessary steps, if it is believed that:
- you have breached or are not acting in a manner consistent with these Terms
- you have participated in such activities which are illegal or dishonest or the actions you performed may end up causing a loss (financial or otherwise) or a lawful suit against the PVCC/DVCC or users
- the products which are uploaded are either not correct or not accurate or counterfeit.
- you present content of others as if it is Your own
- you have been trying to partake fraudulent activity
- it is necessary to do so by law or to ensure protection of the interests of the users
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INFRINGEMENT
9.1 We respect the intellectual property rights of others. It is Our policy to respond to any claim that Content posted on the Service infringes a copyright or other intellectual property infringement of any person.
9.2 If you are a copyright owner, or authorized on behalf of one, and you believe that the copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement that is taking place through the Service, you must submit your notice in writing to the attention of our copyright agent via email at info@volunteerism-cc.org.cy and include in your notice a detailed description of the alleged infringement.
9.3 You may be held accountable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees) for misrepresenting that any Content is infringing your copyright.
9.4 You do, however, hereby grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual license to modify, compile, combine with other content, copy, record, synchronize, transmit, translate, format, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, and otherwise use or exploit your Content as reasonably necessary to provide the Website .
9.5 You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, record, transmit, commercially exploit, edit, communicate to the public or distribute in any way the services, web pages or materials on the Website other than in accordance with these Terms.
10. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
10.1 Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by the PVCC. These links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them.
10.2 The PVCC has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that the PVCC shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, products or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
10.3 We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party web sites or services that you visit.
11. TERMINATION
11.1 Your Account may be terminate or suspended, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms and Conditions. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
11.2 From time to time, we may add, make changes to or remove altogether features or functionality of the Services. If you're using Services, you may need to install a new or updated version before you can receive the benefit of those changes. We may also decide to cease providing all or some of the Services at any time, and nothing in these Terms is to be taken as a guarantee that the any Services will always be available, either in its current form or at all, or that we will support, maintain or continue to offer the Services or any version of them.
12. LIABILITY
12.1 YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT BY USING SERVICES, YOU ALONE ARE RESPONSIBLE AND SHALL NOT HOLD THE PVCC OR ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL DAMAGES, OR DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) LOSS OF REPUTATION, USE OF PERSONAL DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLES ON THE BASIS OF THE AGREEMENT, OFFENSES, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE (WITHOUT LIMITATION), RESULTING FROM: (I) THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE SERVICES; (II) SPENDING ON SERVICEFS AND/OR OTHER AS A RESULT OF DATA, INFORMATION, COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVED AND/OR OTHERWISE; (III) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR COMMUNICATIONS OR DATA; (IV) STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD-PARTY USING SERVICES; OR (V) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE USE OF SERVICES.
12.2 The PVCC is not responsible for the failure by users to take reasonable care and caution when using the Services.
12.3 The Service is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, the PVCC, on its own behalf and on behalf of its service providers, expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, with respect to the Service, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and warranties that may arise out of course of dealing, course of performance, usage or trade practice. Without limitation to the foregoing, the PVCC provides no warranty or undertaking, and makes no representation of any kind that the Service will meet your requirements, achieve any intended results, be compatible or work with any other software, applications, systems or services, operate without interruption, meet any performance or reliability standards or be error free or that any errors or defects can or will be corrected.
12.4 Without limiting the foregoing, neither the PVCC nor any of the PVCC's service providers make any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied: (a) as to the operation or availability of the Service, or the information, content, and materials included thereon; (b) that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (c) as to the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information or content provided through the Service; or (d) that the Service, its servers, the content, or e-mails sent from or on behalf of the PVCC are free of viruses, scripts, trojan horses, worms, malware, timebombs or other harmful components.
12.5 You acknowledge that the Website serves to provide information to Visitors and facilitates engagement in the Introductions process for Organizers and Volunteers. Furthermore, you understand that any volunteering arrangements are subject to separate Volunteer Engagements between the relevant Organizer and Volunteers. PVCC assumes no liability in relation to any interactions between Volunteers and Organizers, as it will not be party to such agreements.
12.6 You agree to indemnify and hold PVCC harmless from any costs, expenses, claims, losses, liabilities, or proceedings arising from (a) your misuse of the Website; (b) any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you and (c) If you are an Organizer who has contracted with us for the provision of Services, our liability for those Services will be outlined in our Terms of Service.
13. DISPUTES RESOLUTION
13.1 When you collaborate with a user and face any problematic situation, you should contact the PVCC and DVCC with all the supporting evidence of the problematic behavior/collaboration, such as photos, insulting messages etc. DVCCs are constantly monitoring the high quality standards of its users and always seeks to provide you with the best possible assistance. In case that the PVCC or DVCCs notices problematic behavior from the users, shall immediately proceeds with the necessary measures to resolve the issue and in a different case, reserves the right to cancel the user’s account.
13.2 If you have any concern or dispute about the PVCC or the DVCCs, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the PVCC/DVCC.
14. DATA PROTECTION
14.1 We will maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the security of the data or content that you input into the Services.
14.2 You are responsible for complying with all applicable data protection laws in respect of the use of the Services with regard to the processing of personal data you process through the Services.
14.3 On cancellation of your account or profile, the data submitted by you to the Services will be deleted according to the PVCC’s retention period policy, unless applicable laws or regulations require the PVCC to retain the data for a longer period. To the extent that we continue to hold the data, it shall be securely isolated and protected from further processing except to the extent required by applicable law.
13.4 In the event the PVCC acts as data processor for the Organizer, the Data Processing Addendum will apply.
15. SEVERABILITY
15.1 If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. WAIVER
16.1 Except as provided herein, the failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under this Terms shall not effect a party's ability to exercise such right or require such performance at any time thereafter nor shall be the waiver of a breach constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.
17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
17.1 We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to modify or replace these terms at any time and without notice. Any changes will be published on this website. Therefore you are advised to review the Terms and Conditions on this website periodically, to keep up-to-date.
18. GOVERNING LAW
18.1 The laws of the Republic of Cyprus excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern this Terms and Conditions and your use of the Website and service.
